ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਤੱਕਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ।
Jeremiah 39:4

Jeremiah 33:2
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
Isaiah 37:26
‘ਇਹੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ? ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ, ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸੀ। ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿਸ ਨਹਿਸ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਲਬੇ ਦੇ ਢੇਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Isaiah 31:1
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖੋ। ਲੋਕ ਘੋੜੇ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਘੋੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਸਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦੇ।
Isaiah 17:7

ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਝਰਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।
