Isaiah 14:23
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਲਦਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ‘ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਝਾੜੂ’ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਝਾੜੂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।

| it with the besom | בְּמַטְאֲטֵ֣א | bĕmaṭʾăṭēʾ | beh-maht-uh-TAY |
| destruction, of | הַשְׁמֵ֔ד | hašmēd | hahsh-MADE |
| saith | נְאֻ֖ם | nĕʾum | neh-OOM |
| the Lord | יְהוָ֥ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| of hosts. | צְבָאֽוֹת׃ | ṣĕbāʾôt | tseh-va-OTE |
