Hosea 12:3
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਾਲਾਕੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਯਾਕੂਬ ਇੱਕ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਨੌਜੁਆਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਘੁਲਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਪਰ ਦੋ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰਿੱਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਛੋਟੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।” ਇਹ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਲਾ ਜਾਂ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸੋ ਉਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਬੁਲਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
James 5:16
ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਨੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
