Proverbs 19:24
ਇੱਕ ਆਲਸੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਤਾਈਂ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇੱਕ ਆਲਸੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਅੱਤ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

ਸੁਸਤ ਆਦਮੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਸੌਂ ਲਵੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਲਸੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ।

ਆਲਸੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ “ਸੜਕ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਹੈ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਹੈ।”

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੋ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਏਗਾ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਟੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
