Matthew 27:27
ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਖਰੀਆਂ ਤਦ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਯਾਫ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਕਚਿਹਰੀ ਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਅਜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਵੇਰਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਕਚਿਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਮਹਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈਂ?”

ਹਾਕਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪਹਿਲੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁੱਦਈ ਵੀ ਆ ਜਾਣ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ।” ਫ਼ਿਰ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਥ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੈਨਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਜਿੱਥੇਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ, ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਿਆਦੇ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀਵੇ, ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਨ।

ਜਦ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ।

ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਰੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਤਾਲਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਕੈਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਯੂਲਿਉਸ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਯੂਲਿਉਸ “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ” ਨਾਮੇ ਖਾਸ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸੀ।
