ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਤਰਸ ਉੱਥੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਬਿਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਜੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਕੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੈ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 35:5
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬੋਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਸੁਣ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
