Genesis 9:18
ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਨ: ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ। (ਹਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।)

| and Japheth: | וָיָ֑פֶת | wāyāpet | va-YA-fet |
| and Ham | וְחָ֕ם | wĕḥām | veh-HAHM |
| ה֖וּא | hûʾ | hoo | |
| is the father | אֲבִ֥י | ʾăbî | uh-VEE |
| of Canaan. | כְנָֽעַן׃ | kĕnāʿan | heh-NA-an |
