Genesis 50:25
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”

ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਘਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਈਆਂ। (ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇ, ਮੇਰੀ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣੀਆਂ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ।”)
Joshua 24:32
ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਆਏ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਹਮੋਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਖਰੀਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ 100 ਸਿੱਕਿਆਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਖਰੀਦੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੀ।
Hebrews 11:22
ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਮਰਨ ਕੰਢੇ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਛੱਡਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਸੀ।
Genesis 47:29
ਹੁਣ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਦਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੀ ਲੱਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰ। ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਮਰਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਉਣਾ।
Genesis 50:5
‘ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਰਨ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਉਣ ਦਿਉ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।’”
Acts 7:16
ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਜਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਕਬਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੋਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇਕੇ ਮੁਲ ਖਰੀਦੀ ਸੀ।
