Genesis 49:28

ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ (ਅਦਾਰ) ਦੇ ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਦਲ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਹੁਣ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਫਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਕੜੇ ਸਨ।
Esther 8:11
ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਵੇਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ, ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ, ਮਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੋਲਤ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ।

ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੱਕੱਤਰ ਸੱਦੇ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੀਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਤੇਈਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਕੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ, ਆਗੂਆਂ, ਰਾਜਪਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਂਦ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਸ਼ ਤੀਕ 127 ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਨਮਾਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਨੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਅਸਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਲੀ ਚਾਢ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

Numbers 23:24
ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਖੂਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ।”
