ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਕੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਕੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
