Genesis 31:35
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਲੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦੀ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਹਵਾਰੀ ਆਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁਲ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ।

| my lord | אֲדֹנִ֔י | ʾădōnî | uh-doh-NEE |
| that | כִּ֣י | kî | kee |
| I cannot | ל֤וֹא | lôʾ | loh |
| אוּכַל֙ | ʾûkal | oo-HAHL | |
| rise up | לָק֣וּם | lāqûm | la-KOOM |
| before | מִפָּנֶ֔יךָ | mippānêkā | mee-pa-NAY-ha |
| thee; for | כִּי | kî | kee |
| the custom | דֶ֥רֶךְ | derek | DEH-rek |
| of women | נָשִׁ֖ים | nāšîm | na-SHEEM |
| searched, he And me. upon is | לִ֑י | lî | lee |
| but found | וַיְחַפֵּ֕שׂ | wayḥappēś | vai-ha-PASE |
