Genesis 30:38
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛਿੱਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਜੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।

| watering the in | אֲשֶׁר֩ | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| troughs | תָּבֹ֨אןָ | tābōʾnā | ta-VOH-na |
| when | הַצֹּ֤אן | haṣṣōn | ha-TSONE |
| the flocks | לִשְׁתּוֹת֙ | lištôt | leesh-TOTE |
| came | לְנֹ֣כַח | lĕnōkaḥ | leh-NOH-hahk |
| to drink, | הַצֹּ֔אן | haṣṣōn | ha-TSONE |
| conceive should they that | וַיֵּחַ֖מְנָה | wayyēḥamnâ | va-yay-HAHM-na |
| when they came | בְּבֹאָ֥ן | bĕbōʾān | beh-voh-AN |
