ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਏਸਾਓ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਕ ਲਵੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ।”

ਮੇਰੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”
