Genesis 23:3
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਉਹ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਮਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਮਕਫ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਅਫ਼ਰੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਕਬਰਸਤਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
1 Samuel 26:6
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਤਦ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੂਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ, ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਡੇਰਿਆ ਵੱਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੌਣ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ?” ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਾਂਗਾ।”

ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਖੇਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
