Genesis 21:13
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੌਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।”

ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ। ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਹਾਜਰਾ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਸੀ।
