Genesis 2:7
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਦਮ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਫ਼ੂਕਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਜੀਵ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।

| the breath | נִשְׁמַ֣ת | nišmat | neesh-MAHT |
| life; of | חַיִּ֑ים | ḥayyîm | ha-YEEM |
| and man | וַֽיְהִ֥י | wayhî | va-HEE |
| became | הָֽאָדָ֖ם | hāʾādām | ha-ah-DAHM |
| a living | לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ | lĕnepeš | leh-NEH-fesh |
