Genesis 17:5
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ-ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਇਸਹਾਕ-ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਈ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Romans 4:17

Isaiah 62:2
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਨੇਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਲੈਣਗੀਆਂ। ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਖੁਦ ਉਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Genesis 32:28

Revelation 2:17
“ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। “ਪਰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ। ਉਹੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ।

ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ ‘ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਆਤੰਕ।’
Isaiah 65:15
ਮੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਮ ਮੰਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।” ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਦੇਗਾ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨਾਥਾਨ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਯਦੀਦਯਾਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਇਉਂ ਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ।
