ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
