Genesis 16:1
ਦਾਸੀ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਸਾਰਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਉਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਸਾਰਈ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਦਾਸੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਨੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਈ। ਉਹ ਪਾਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।

ਪਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਸੱਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਮਿਸੱਕ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ, ਅਲੀਅਜ਼ਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
Genesis 12:16
ਫਿਰਊਨ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਸਾਰਈ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡਾਂ, ਡੰਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਸ, ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਊਠ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇ।
Luke 1:36
ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ, ਤੇਰੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਵੀ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਔਰਤ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਬਾਂਝ ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ!
Luke 1:7
ਪਰ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ।
Judges 13:2
ਉੱਥੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
Genesis 25:21
ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
Genesis 21:12
ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ। ਉਹੀ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸਹਾਕ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Genesis 21:9
ਹਾਜਰਾ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸਾਰਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਸਾਰਾਹ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
Genesis 11:30
ਸਾਰਈ ਦੇ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ।
