Genesis 14:23
ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੈ-ਕੋਈ ਧਾਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਸਮਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੇਂ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।’

ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦਾਰ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਚੌਦ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ 300 ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਨਾ ਲਾਇਆ।

ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਰਾਜ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨਜਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਕਾਂਗਾ।

ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਨਅਮਾਨ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ। ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।”

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭਰਾ ਮਕਦੂਨਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਭੱਵਿਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਬੋਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਂਗਾ।
2 Corinthians 12:14
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੀਸਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬੋਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜਦ ਕਿ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬੱਚਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
Hebrews 13:5
ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਰੱਖੋ। ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਰਹੋ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਿਆਗਾਂਗਾ।”
