Ezra 6:22

Ezra 1:1
ਕੋਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਘੱਲਣ ’ਚ ਮਦਦ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਰਸ਼ ਫਾਰਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੋਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੋਰਸ਼ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਐਲਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਤ ਰੂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਵਾਇਆ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋ ਉਚ੍ਚਰਿਆ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਇਉਂ ਸੀ:

Exodus 13:6
“ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਮਹਾਂ ਭੋਜ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਭੋਜ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਆਦਰ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗਾ।
Exodus 12:15
ਇਸ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਤੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੋਂਗ਼ੇ। ਇਸ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਮੀਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਖਮੀਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਡ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
