ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ!”

“ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਬ ਹੈ।

ਕੁਝ ਅਪਿਕੂਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਤੋਕਿਈ ਪੰਡਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਗੱਪੀ ਕਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?” ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
