Joshua 19:51
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਭਿੰਨ-ਭਿੰਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਨੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ। ਉਹ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੰਡਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੁਕਾਇਆ।
Joshua 14:1
ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਨੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣੀ ਹੈ।
Joshua 13:23
ਜਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਖਤਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਸਨ।

ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ:

ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੂਟੀਏਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਲੇਵੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਨ।

ਰਊਬੇਨ “ਰਊਬੇਨ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਰਦਾਨਗੀ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਬੂਤ। ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਜ਼ਤਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਸੀ।
