Exodus 29
1 ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਖਾਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਜਵਾਨ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਜਵਾਨ ਭੇਡੂ ਲਵੀਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
2 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਖਮੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਦਾ ਲਵੋ। ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਂਨ੍ਹਕੇ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਚੋਪੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ, ਪਤਲੀਆਂ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉ।
3 ਇਹ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋ। ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ, ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਭੇਡੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋ।
4 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਾਉ।
5 ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨਾਉ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਚਿੱਟਾ ਚੋਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਏਫ਼ੋਦ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨੀਲਾ ਚੋਲਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਉ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਏਫ਼ੋਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੇ-ਬੰਦ ਪਹਿਨਾਉ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਪੇਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿਉ।
6 ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਮਾਮਾ ਰੱਖੋ। ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖਾਸ ਤਾਜ ਰੱਖੋ।
7 ਮਸਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਚੋਅ। ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
8 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਚੋਲੇ ਪੁਆਉਣੇ।
9 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਮਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਪੇਟੀਆਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਲਈ ਖਾਸ ਟੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਖਾਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਥਾਪੇਂਗਾ।
10 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਾ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ।
11 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਸ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਬਾਹ ਕਰਨਾ।
12 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਦਾ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਖੂਨ ਲੈਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣਾ। ਆਪਣੀ ਉਂਗਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਖੂਨ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਉਣਾ। ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਾਰਾ ਖੂਨ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਣਾ।
13 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਦੇ ਜਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਲੈਣੀ, ਜਿਗਰ ਦਾ ਚਰਬੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਾਗ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਗੁਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ। ਇਸ ਚਰਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਲਣਾ।
14 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ, ਇਸਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਾ। ਇਹ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ।
15 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਣਾ।
16 ਉਸ ਭੇਡੂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਖੂਨ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਇਸ ਖੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੀ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਛਿੜਕ ਦੇਣਾ।
17 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਣੇ। ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋ ਲੈਣਾ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਣਾ।
18 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਾ। ਇਹ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ, ਅੱਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਗਈ ਭੇਟ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ।
19 “ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਣਾ।
20 ਉਸ ਭੇਡੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਖੂਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ। ਇਹ ਖੂਨ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਲ ਦੇਣਾ। ਕੁਝ ਖੂਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਠਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਖੂਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਠਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਲ ਦੇਣਾ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਖੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਛਿੜਕ ਦੇਣਾ।
21 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਖੂਨ ਲੈਣਾ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਤੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਸਤਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਛਿੜਕ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਸਤਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਛਿੜਕ ਦੇਣਾ। ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸ ਖਾਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
22 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਲੈਣਾ। (ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਭੇਡੂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।) ਪੂਛ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚਰਬੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਚਰਬੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਿਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਗੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣਾ।
23 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰੋਟੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਉਹ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਮੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਸੀ। ਟੋਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਣੀਆਂ; ਇੱਕ ਡਬਲ ਰੋਟੀ, ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਟੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਲਾ ਕੇਕ।
24 ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਖਲੋਣ। ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
25 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਲੈ ਲੈਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਣਾ। ਇਹ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਗਈ ਭੇਟ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ।
26 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭੇਡੂ ਦਾ ਸੀਨਾ ਲੈਣਾ। (ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਭੇਡੂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।) ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਬੇਟਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੜੋ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੋ।
27 ਉਸ ਭੇਡੂ ਦਾ ਸੀਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਤ ਲਵੋ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਉ।
28 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣਗੇ ਇਹ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਇਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
29 “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਾਸ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਕੇ ਰੱਖੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਜਿਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਣਗੇ।
30 ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਅਗਲਾ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਇਹ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨੇਗਾ।
31 “ਉਸ ਭੇਡੂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਿੰਨ੍ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
32 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਾਸ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਰੋਟੀ ਵੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
33 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ।
34 ਜੇ ਉਸ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਾਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਟੁਕੜਾ ਸਵੇਰ ਲਈ ਬਚ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਾਸ ਜਾਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਖਾਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਖਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ।
35 “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਥਾਪਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
36 ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਇੱਕ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭੇਟ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਛਿੜਕੋਂਗੇ।
37 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਲਈ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਅੱਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹੇਗੀ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
38 “ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਡੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਲੇਲੇ ਮਾਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।
39 ਇੱਕ ਲੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉ।
40 ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੋ, ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਨ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੁਥਾਈ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੇ 8 ਕੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਆਟਰ ਮੈਅ ਦੀ ਭੇਟਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੋਂ, ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਨ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੁਥਾਈ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੇ 8 ਕੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਆਟਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੋ। ਇਹ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਭੇਟ ਸਾੜੋਂਗੇ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
41 “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਕਰੋ। ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੋਂਗੇ, ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਮਿਲਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
42 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
43 “ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ।
44 ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।
45 ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ।”
1 And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest’s office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,
2 And unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened tempered with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: of wheaten flour shalt thou make them.
3 And thou shalt put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams.
4 And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.
5 And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod:
6 And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.
7 Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.
8 And thou shalt bring his sons, and put coats upon them.
9 And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest’s office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
10 And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock.
11 And thou shalt kill the bullock before the Lord, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
12 And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
13 And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.
14 But the flesh of the bullock, and his skin, and his dung, shalt thou burn with fire without the camp: it is a sin offering.
15 Thou shalt also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.
16 And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.
17 And thou shalt cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put them unto his pieces, and unto his head.
18 And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering unto the Lord: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
19 And thou shalt take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.
20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
21 And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.
22 Also thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:
23 And one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the Lord:
24 And thou shalt put all in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons; and shalt wave them for a wave offering before the Lord.
25 And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the Lord: it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
26 And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the Lord: and it shall be thy part.
27 And thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons:
28 And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’ by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the Lord.
29 And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed therein, and to be consecrated in them.
30 And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.
31 And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration, and seethe his flesh in the holy place.
32 And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
33 And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.
34 And if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.
35 And thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.
36 And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.
37 Seven days thou shalt make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.
38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.
44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest’s office.
45 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.

1 ਹੋਰ ਨੇਮ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਨੇਮ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ:
Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.
2 “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 6 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਕਰੇਗਾ। 6 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
3 ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
4 ਜੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪਤਨੀ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.
5 “ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ-ਮੈਂ ਰੁਕਾਂਗਾ।’
And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
6 ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੁਗਾਠ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਔਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰਾਖ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
7 “ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੇਚਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਓਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਮਰਦ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਨ।
And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.
8 ਜੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਵੇਚ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ।
If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
9 ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
10 “ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਭੋਜਨ ਜਾਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ।
If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
11 ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦੇਣਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.
12 “ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
13 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਿਨਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਥਾਂ ਚੁਣਾਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਭੱਜ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
14 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।
But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
15 “ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
16 “ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੇਚ ਸੱਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਲਈ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
17 “ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
18 “ਜੇ ਦੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਲੜ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਣਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਜਾਂ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ। (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ? ਜੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਸੱਟ ਵੱਜੀ ਸੀ, ਮਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ ਮਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।)
And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:
19 ਜੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪੈਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਕਤ ਦੀ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.
20 “ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਕੁੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
21 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
22 “ਜੇ ਦੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇ। ਜੇ ਔਰਤ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਭਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਜ਼ੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਔਰਤ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
24 ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਅੱਖ, ਦੰਦ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਦੰਦ, ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਹੱਥ, ਪੈਰ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਪੈਰ,
Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 ਸੇਕ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਸੇਕ, ਝਰੀਟ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਝਰੀਟ, ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
26 “ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਅੱਖ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ।
And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake.
27 ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੰਦ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੰਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ।
And if he smite out his manservant’s tooth, or his maidservant’s tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth’s sake.
28 “ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਧਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਪਰ ਬਲਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.
29 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।
But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
30 ਪਰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਪੈਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪੈਸਾ ਲੈ ਲੈਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਸੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਓਨਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਆਖੇ।
If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.
31 “ਉਸੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਂ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.
32 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਲਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੇ) ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ 30 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨੇਮ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.
33 “ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਾਹ ਦੇਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਟੋਆ ਪੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕੇ ਨਾ। ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਟੋਏ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।
And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;
34 ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਟੋਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.
35 “ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਵੇਚ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦ ਵੇਚਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਾ ਅੱਧਾ-ਅੱਧਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਲਦ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵੀ ਅੱਧਾ-ਅੱਧਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
And if one man’s ox hurt another’s, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.
36 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਦ ਲਾਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲਦ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦ ਬਦਲੇ ਬਲਦ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਲਦ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਲਦ ਬਦਲੇ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.
