Exodus 16:13
ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਇਲਾਂ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਆਈਆਂ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਪੰਛੀ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਪਈ ਸੀ।

| the quails | וַתַּ֣עַל | wattaʿal | va-TA-al |
| came up, | הַשְּׂלָ֔ו | haśśĕlāw | ha-seh-LAHV |
| and covered | וַתְּכַ֖ס | wattĕkas | va-teh-HAHS |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the camp: | הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה | hammaḥăne | ha-ma-huh-NEH |
| and in the morning | וּבַבֹּ֗קֶר | ûbabbōqer | oo-va-BOH-ker |
| dew the | הָֽיְתָה֙ | hāyĕtāh | ha-yeh-TA |
| lay | שִׁכְבַ֣ת | šikbat | sheek-VAHT |
| הַטַּ֔ל | haṭṭal | ha-TAHL | |
| round about | סָבִ֖יב | sābîb | sa-VEEV |
| the host. | לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ | lammaḥăne | LA-ma-huh-NEH |
