Hebrews 11:28
ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਛਿੜਕਿਆ। ਇਹ ਲਹੂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਛਿੜਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਜਨਮੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਨਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਸੀ।

ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਪਲੋਠੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।) ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਨਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਖਰੀਦਦਾ ਹਾਂ।’

Job 34:20
ਲੋਕ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਨੇ। ਲੋਕ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਕਾਰਣ ਦੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ।
Isaiah 24:22

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਟੋਆ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਾਰਦ ਤੈਨਾਤ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗਾਰਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਗਾਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਭ ਗਿਆ।
Jeremiah 38:13

ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ, ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਮਰ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਿਆ।
