ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਨੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ, ਅਗਾਗੀ ਹਮਦਾਬਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮੋਹਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲਾਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ, ਅਗਾਗੀ ਹਮਦਾਬਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੋ ਪਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੰਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਜੋ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਅਗਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਾਣਾਈ ਸੀ।
Esther 7:6
ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿਉਂਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਬਦਆਦਮੀ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਹੈ।” ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।

ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗਾਗ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਅਗਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
Genesis 41:55
