ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਫਾਟਕ ਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਹੁਣ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਝੁਕੱ ਕੇ ਸਲਾਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਰ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
1 Samuel 23:17
