ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਵਸ਼ਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ।

Deuteronomy 29:20

ਤਾਂ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ! ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਕਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਦਰਕ, ਮੇਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਦ-ਨਗੋ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਠ੍ਠੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧਾਰਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਗੁਣਾ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਗਰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
