Deuteronomy 9:4
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਭਜਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਸੋਚੋ, ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੰਨੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਂ!’ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਧੱਕਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ-ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੀ।

| For my righteousness | בְּצִדְקָתִי֙ | bĕṣidqātiy | beh-tseed-ka-TEE |
