Deuteronomy 25:6
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਬੱਚਾ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
| And it shall be, | וְהָיָ֗ה | wĕhāyâ | veh-ha-YA |
| that the firstborn | הַבְּכוֹר֙ | habbĕkôr | ha-beh-HORE |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| beareth she | תֵּלֵ֔ד | tēlēd | tay-LADE |
| shall succeed | יָק֕וּם | yāqûm | ya-KOOM |
| in | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the name | שֵׁ֥ם | šēm | shame |
| brother his of | אָחִ֖יו | ʾāḥîw | ah-HEEOO |
| which is dead, | הַמֵּ֑ת | hammēt | ha-MATE |
| name his that | וְלֹֽא | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| be not | יִמָּחֶ֥ה | yimmāḥe | yee-ma-HEH |
| put out | שְׁמ֖וֹ | šĕmô | sheh-MOH |
| of Israel. | מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | miyyiśrāʾēl | mee-yees-ra-ALE |
