Deuteronomy 21:14
ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਾਦਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

| delight no have thou | לֹ֧א | lōʾ | loh |
| חָפַ֣צְתָּ | ḥāpaṣtā | ha-FAHTS-ta | |
| go her let shalt thou then her, in | בָּ֗הּ | bāh | ba |
| whither she will; | וְשִׁלַּחְתָּהּ֙ | wĕšillaḥtāh | veh-shee-lahk-TA |
| not shalt thou but | לְנַפְשָׁ֔הּ | lĕnapšāh | leh-nahf-SHA |
| sell | וּמָכֹ֥ר | ûmākōr | oo-ma-HORE |
| her at all | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| for money, | תִמְכְּרֶ֖נָּה | timkĕrennâ | teem-keh-REH-na |
| not shalt thou | בַּכָּ֑סֶף | bakkāsep | ba-KA-sef |
| make merchandise | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| because her, of | תִתְעַמֵּ֣ר | titʿammēr | teet-ah-MARE |
| בָּ֔הּ | bāh | ba | |
| thou hast humbled | תַּ֖חַת | taḥat | TA-haht |
| her. | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
