Deuteronomy 20:11
ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

| if | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| answer thee make it | שָׁל֣וֹם | šālôm | sha-LOME |
| of peace, | תַּֽעַנְךָ֔ | taʿankā | ta-an-HA |
| and open | וּפָֽתְחָ֖ה | ûpātĕḥâ | oo-fa-teh-HA |
| be, shall it then thee, unto | לָ֑ךְ | lāk | lahk |
| that all | וְהָיָ֞ה | wĕhāyâ | veh-ha-YA |
| people the | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| that is found | הָעָ֣ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
| be shall therein | הַנִּמְצָא | hannimṣāʾ | ha-neem-TSA |
| tributaries | בָ֗הּ | bāh | va |
| unto thee, and they shall serve | יִֽהְי֥וּ | yihĕyû | yee-heh-YOO |
| thee. | לְךָ֛ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| לָמַ֖ס | lāmas | la-MAHS | |
| וַֽעֲבָדֽוּךָ׃ | waʿăbādûkā | VA-uh-va-DOO-ha |
