Deuteronomy 1:28
ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ? ਸਾਡੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ (ਜਾਸੂਸਾਂ) ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਕੇ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ: “ਓਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇਰੇ ਹਨ! ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਜਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਵੀ ਦੇਖੇ ਹਨ।”’

ਹੋਰਨਾ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Numbers 13:28
ਪਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬੜੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਅਨਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ।
Ezekiel 21:7
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੋਗੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੱਢ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ?’ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਉਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਖਬਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਘਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਹਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਰੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।’ ਦੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਮਾੜੀ ਖਬਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ!” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।
Isaiah 13:7
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਨਿਰਬਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Judges 1:10
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। (ਹਬਰੋਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ ਸੀ।) ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਈ, ਅਹੀਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਮਈ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ।
Joshua 15:14

ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਇੰਨਾ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਸੱਕੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉਪਰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ!

ਰਾਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹਨ।
Deuteronomy 20:8
“ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ‘ਕੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ? ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੇਗਾ।’
Exodus 15:15
ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
