Daniel 1:19
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜਵਾਨ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ, ਹਨਨਯਾਹ, ਮੀਸ਼ਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਸਾਹ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਚਾਰੇ ਜਵਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਗਏ।

-5- ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਹਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
Daniel 1:5
ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦ੍ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਸਨ।

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਕਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਸ਼ਬੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ। ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਨਾ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ। ਮੀਂਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”
Jeremiah 15:19
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਂ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤ ਆਵੇਂ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲੇਁ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬੋਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ (ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ) ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਾ ਬਣੀਁ।
