ਕਦੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚਲੀਆ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ; ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਯਾਹ 3:7
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ: “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਹਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੇਰੇ ਫ਼ਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ।
