“ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਉ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦੋਖ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦੇਵੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਖਿਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਦੇਰ ਉਹ ਕਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤ੍ਤ ’ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਰਦਾ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਹੈ।

ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਰੰਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਉਸ ਅਧਰੰਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਰੱਖ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਾਫ ਹੋਏ।”
