“ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਅਖੀਰਲਾ ਵਾਕ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਮਚਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੋ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇਵੋ। ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ।”

ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਨਾ ਮੁਕਾਉਣਗੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣਗੇ।
Acts 25:3
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਣ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
