Acts 25:10
ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਸਰੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।

Acts 25:25
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਮਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਕੈਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ। ਮੈਂ ਮੁਨਸਫ਼ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Acts 25:6
ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਅੱਠ-ਦਸ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਿਆ। ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹਾਜਰ ਕਰਨ। ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ।

ਉੱਥੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ; ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਲਾਏ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਦਾਵ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
Acts 22:25
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਰੋਮੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਕਸੂਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ?”

ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਰੋਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਬਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਈਏ? ਨਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਇਵੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਆਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਚੱਲਣ।”

ਪਰੰਤੂ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਨਾਕ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਚਲਾਕੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ, ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੌਣ ਹਾਂ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਪਣੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਣ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹਾਂ।
