Acts 2
1 ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਗਮਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਤੇਕੁਸਤ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਸਨ।
2 ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ।
3 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਬਲਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਭ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ-ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਆਕੇ, ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਕੇ ਠਹਿਰੀਆਂ।
4 ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ-ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਮਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਬੋਲਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
5 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
6 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੂੰਜ ਸੁਣੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ।
7 ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬੜੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖੋ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਜੋ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ?
8 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ? ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਵਖੋ-ਵਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਂ।
9 ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਾਰਥੀ, ਮੇਦੀ, ਇਲਾਮੀ, ਮਸੋਪੋਤਾਮਿਯਾ, ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ, ਕਪਦੁਕਿਯਾ, ਪੁੰਤੁਸ, ਅਸਿਯਾ,
10 ਫ਼ਰੂਗਿਯਾ, ਪੁਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ, ਮਿਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਬਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਕੁਰੇਨੋ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇੱਥੇ ਰੋਮੀ ਮੁਸਾਫ਼ਿਰ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮੁਰੀਦ।
11 ਕਰੇਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਬੀ ਹਨ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਖਾਣ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”
12 ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ-ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ “ਇਹ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ”
13 ਪਰ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੱਸੇ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।”
14 ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜੋ ਕੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਓ, ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
15 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਤੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋਂ। ਅਜੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨੌ ਵੱਜੇ ਹਨ।
16 ਪਰ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਯੋਏਲ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ
17 ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਵਾਨ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
18 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ, ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ’ਚ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਕਹਿਣਗੇ।
19 ਮੈਂ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਹੂ, ਅੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਧੂੰਏ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੂਤ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
20 ਸੂਰਜ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾਂ, ਲਹੂ ਵਰਗਾ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਮਈ ਦਿਨ ਆਵੇਗਾ।
21 ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।’
22 “ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵੋ; ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਤਰਫ਼ੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਚੰਭਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਖਲਾਈਆਂ।
23 ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦੇਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੋਚ ਲਾਈ ਸੀ।
24 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਸਹੀ ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਧਨ ਖੋਲਕੇ ਜੀਵਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੌਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੀ।
25 ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੈ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਿਲਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
26 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ।
27 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੇਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
28 ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਆਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।’
29 “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਨਿਰਭੈ ਹੋਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਮਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਦੀ ਕਬਰ, ਇੱਥੇ ਅੱਜ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ, ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ।
30 ਦਾਊਦ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
31 ਦਾਊਦ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ: ‘ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੜਿਆ।’
32 ਸੋ ਇਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਇਸਦੇ ਚਸ਼ਮਦੀਦ ਗਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
33 ਯਿਸੂ ਮਰਨ ਉਪਰਾਂਤ ਸੁਰਗ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੈ। ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਹੁਣ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ।
34 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਨਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠ,
35 ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂ।’
36 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਲੀਬ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।”
37 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਛਿੱਦ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ?”
38 ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਬਦਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਓ। ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
39 ਇਹ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੁਦ ਬੁਲਾਵੇਗਾ।”
40 ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਪੀੜੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ ਬਚਾਓ।”
41 ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਲੋਕ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ।
42 ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਿਯਮਿਤ ਰੂਪ ਨਾਲ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਜੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਉਹ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ।
43 ਰਸੂਲ ਬੜੀਆਂ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਡਰ ਸੀ।
44 ਸਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਵੰਡਦੇ।
45 ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਸਨ, ਸਭ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
46 ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਭ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੰਦਿਤ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ।
47 ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ। ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰਦਾ, ਜੋ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

1 கர்த்தரின் கிருபைகளை என்றென்றைக்கும் பாடுவேன்; உமது உண்மையைத் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என் வாயினால் அறிவிப்பேன்.
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 கிருபை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; உமது உண்மையை வானங்களிலே ஸ்தாபிப்பீர் என்றேன்.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 என்னால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவனோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி என்தாசனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி:
I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5 கர்த்தாவே, வானங்கள் உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களைத் துதிக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சபையிலே உம்முடைய உண்மையும் விளங்கும்.
And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 ஆகாயமண்டலத்தில் கர்த்தருக்கு நிகரானவர் யார்? பலவான்களின் புத்திரரில் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்பானவர் யார்?
For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 தேவன் பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய ஆலோசனைச் சபையில் மிகவும் பயப்படத்தக்கவர், தம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிற அனைவராலும் அஞ்சப்படத்தக்கவர்.
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப்போல் வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் யார்? உம்முடைய உண்மை உம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறது.
O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 தேவரீர், சமுத்திரத்தின் பெருமையை ஆளுகிறவர்; அதின் அலைகள் எழும்பும்போது அவைகளை அடங்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 நீர் ராகாபை வெட்டுண்ட ஒருவனைப்போல் ஒடுக்கினீர்; உமது வல்லமையான புயத்தினால் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களைச் சிதறடித்தீர்.
Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 வானங்கள் உம்முடையது, பூமியும் உம்முடையது, பூலோகத்தையும் அதிலுள்ள யாவையும் நீரே அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினீர்.
The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 வடக்கையும் தெற்கையும் நீர் உண்டாக்கினீர், தாபோரும் எர்மோனும் உம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கக் கெம்பீரிக்கும்.
The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 உமக்கு வல்லமையுள்ள புயமிருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய கரம் பராக்கிரமமுள்ளது; உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் உன்னதமானது.
Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 நீதியும் நியாயமும் உம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின் ஆதாரம்; கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கும்.
Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 கெம்பீரசத்தத்தை அறியும் ஜனங்கள் பாக்கியமுள்ளவர்கள்; கர்த்தாவே, அவர்கள் உம்முடைய முகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தில் நடப்பார்கள்.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 அப்பொழுது நீர் உம்முடைய பக்தனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: சகாயஞ்செய்யத்தக்க சக்தியை ஒரு சவுரியவான்மேல் வைத்து, ஜனத்தில் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவனை உயர்த்தினேன்.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; என் பரிசுத்த தைலத்தினால் அவனை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன்.
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 என் கை அவனோடே உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; என் புயம் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தும்.
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 சத்துரு அவனை நெருக்குவதில்லை; நியாயக்கேட்டின் மகன் அவனை ஒடுக்குவதில்லை.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 அவன் சத்துருக்களை அவனுக்குமுன்பாக மடங்கடித்து, அவனைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை வெட்டுவேன்.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 நான் அவனை எனக்கு முதற்பேறானவனும், பூமியின் ராஜாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் மகா உயர்ந்தவனுமாக்குவேன்.
Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 என் கிருபையை என்றென்றைக்கும் அவனுக்காகக் காப்பேன்; என் உடன்படிக்கை, அவனுக்காக உறுதிப்படுத்தப்படும்.
My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல் என் நியமங்களை மீறிநடந்தால்;
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 அவர்கள் மீறுதலை மிலாற்றினாலும், அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை வாதைகளினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 ஆனாலும் என் கிருபையை அவனைவிட்டு விலக்காமலும், என் உண்மையில் பிசகாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறாமலும், என் உதடுகள் விளம்பினதை மாற்றாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 ஒருவிசை என் பரிசுத்தத்தின்பேரில் ஆணையிட்டேன், தாவீதுக்கு நான் பொய்சொல்லேன்.
Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 அவன் சந்ததி என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்; அவன் சிங்காசனம் சூரியனைப்போல எனக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிற்கும்.
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 சந்திரனைப்போல அது என்றென்றைக்கும் உறுதியாயும், ஆகாயமண்டலத்துச் சாட்சியைப்போல் உண்மையாயும் இருக்கும் என்று விளம்பினீர். (சேலா.)
It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 ஆனாலும் நீர் எங்களை வெறுத்துத் தள்ளிவிட்டீர், நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணுவித்தவன்மேல் உக்கிரமானீர்.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 உமது அடியானுடன் நீர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை ஒழித்துவிட்டு, அவன் கிரீடத்தைத் தரையிலேதள்ளி அவமானப்படுத்தினீர்.
Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 அவன் மதில்களையெல்லாம் தகர்த்துப்போட்டு, அவன் அரணான ஸ்தலங்களைப் பாழாக்கினீர்.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 வழிநடக்கிற யாவரும் அவனைக் கொள்ளையிடுகிறார்கள்; தன் அயலாருக்கு நிந்தையானான்.
All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 அவன் சத்துருக்களின் வலதுகையை நீர் உயர்த்தி, அவன் விரோதிகள் யாவரும் சந்தோஷிக்கும்படிசெய்தீர்.
Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 அவன் பட்டயத்தின் கருக்கை மழுக்கிப்போட்டு, அவனை யுத்தத்தில் நிற்காதபடி செய்தீர்.
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 அவன் மகிமையை அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணி, அவன் சிங்காசனத்தைத் தரையிலே தள்ளினீர்.
Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 அவன் வாலிபநாட்களைக் குறுக்கி, அவனை வெட்கத்தால் மூடினீர். (சேலா.)
The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 எதுவரைக்கும், கர்த்தாவே! நீர் என்றென்றைக்கும் மறைந்திருப்பீரோ? உமது கோபம் அக்கினியைப்போல் எரியுமோ?
How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 என் ஜீவன் எவ்வளவு நிலையற்றது என்பதை நினைத்தருளும்; மனுபுத்திரர் யாவரையும் வீணாகச் சிருஷ்டிக்க வேண்டியதென்ன?
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

49 ஆண்டவரே, நீர் தாவீதுக்கு உம்முடைய உண்மையைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம்பண்ணின உமது பூர்வ கிருபைகள் எங்கே?
Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரையும் நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவனின் காலடிகளையும் நிந்திக்கிறபடியினால்,
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51 கர்த்தாவே, உமது அடியார் சுமக்கும் நிந்தையையும், வலுமையான ஜனங்களெல்லாராலும் நான் என் மடியில் சுமக்கும் என் நிந்தையையும் நினைத்தருளும்.
Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 கர்த்தருக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக. ஆமென், ஆமென்.
