Acts 16:27
ਜੇਲਰ ਜਾਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਦਖਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਵੇਖੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੈਦੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਠ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕੱਢੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਹੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।

ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਭਾਲਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਅਗਰਿੱਪਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ।

ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਸੀ, ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਸੂਤ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦੇ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖਣ, ‘ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।’” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕੱਢ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਅਸੁੰਨਤੀਏ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਖੌਲ ਨਾ ਉਡਾਉਣਗੇ।” ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਇਸ ਕੰਮੋਂ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਖੁਦ ਕੱਢੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
2 Samuel 17:23
ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਦਾ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਾਹਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਦੱਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
1 Kings 16:18
ਜਦ ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ, ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਲਿਆ।
Matthew 27:5
ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜਕੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਾਹਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।

ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੈਦਖਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਦਰੋਗਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਣਾ।”
