Acts 11 in Punjabi

1 ਪਤਰਸ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਣਾ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਜਾਣ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

2 ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ,

3 “ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਸਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।”

4 ਤਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ,

5 “ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਯੱਪਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਚਾਦਰ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਰ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਲ੍ਹੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਥੱਲੇ ਉੱਤਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੜੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਆਕੇ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ।

6 ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਸਨ।

7 ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ‘ਪਤਰਸ ਉੱਠ, ਖਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਖਾ ਲੈ।’

8 “ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜਾਂ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤੂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।’

9 “ਪਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਆਖ।’

10 “ਇੰਝ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।

11 ਉਸੇ ਵਕਤ, ਤਿੰਨ ਆਦਮੀ ਉਸ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਆਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

12 ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਨਾ ਝਿਜਕ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ। ਇਹ ਛੇ ਭਰਾ, ਜੋ ਇੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਰਨੇਲਿਯੁਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਏ।

13 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇਣ।

14 ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਸੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।’

15 “ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਰੰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।

16 ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਏ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।’

17 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇਕਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਣ ਸੀ?”

18 ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਨੀ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ।”

19 ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਇਸਤੀਫ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਸਤਾਉ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਕੇ ਖਿੰਡਰ ਕੇ ਇਧਰ-ਉਧਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਕੁਝ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੋ, ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਆਦਿ ਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

20 ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੁਰੇਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

21 ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

22 ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ।

23 ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ ਤੇ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸਾਹਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ।

24 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਤਰਸੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ।

25 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਲ ਰਹੇ। ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਕੇ ਆਈ। ਸੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ “ਮਸੀਹੀ” ਕਹਾਏ।

26 ਉਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀ ਕਈ ਨਬੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ।

27 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਆਗਬੁਸ ਸੀ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ, “ਇੱਥੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਲ ਪਵੇਗਾ।” (ਜਦੋਂ ਕਲੌਦਿਯਸ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ, ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਕਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।)

28 ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿੰਨੀ ਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕੇ ਉਨੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ।

29 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਧੰਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ।

1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
