Acts 1
1 ਲੂਕਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਪੋਥੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਥਿਉਫ਼ਿਲੁਸ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਸੀ ਉਹ, ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਸੀ।
2 ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ।
3 ਉਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਨਬੀ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਤਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ, ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
4 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੱਸ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀ ਇੱਥੇ (ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ) ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਵਚਨ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋ।
5 ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਥੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
6 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ?”
7 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
8 ਪਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਪਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੋਂਗੇ ਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।”
9 ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਹਟਿਆ, ਉਹ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰਸੂਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਓਹਲੇ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
10 ਯਿਸੂ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਚਾਨਕ ਦੋ ਜਣੇ ਸਫ਼ੇਦ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
11 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਇਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।”
12 ਨਵੇਂ ਰਸੂਲ ਦਾ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਤਦ ਰਸੂਲ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ ਇਹ ਪਹਾੜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ-ਅੱਧ ਮੀਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਟ ਤੇ ਹੈ।
13 ਰਸੂਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇੱਕ ਕਮਰਾ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਰਸੂਲ ਸਨ: ਪਤਰਸ, ਯੂਹੰਨਾ, ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ, ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ, ਥੋਮਾ, ਬਰਥੁਮਲਈ, ਮੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਹਲਫ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜੋ ਜ਼ੇਲੋਤੇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ।
14 ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਅੱਡੋਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਕੁਝ ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਮਰਿਯਮ, ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ।
15 ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਜਦੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਵੀਹ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਆਏ, ਪਤਰਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
16 “ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੂਦਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਇਆ।”
17 (ਯਹੂਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਖੇਤ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ। ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਪਰਨੇ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਫ਼ਟਕੇ ਪਾਟ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਂਤੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਈਆਂ।
18 ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਖੇਤ ਨਾ ਨਾਉ “ਅਕਲਦਮਾ” ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ “ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤ।”)
19 ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਯਹੂਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਕਾਸ਼ ਉਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਉੱਜੜ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉੱਥੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।’ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘ਉਸਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਂਭ ਲਵੇ।’
20 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਲੇ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਂਨ ਦਾ ਗਵਾਹ ਬਣੇ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।”
21 ਤਦ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਬਰਸੱਬਾਸ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਯੂਸਤੁਸ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਥਿਯਾਸ ਸੀ।
22 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਯਹੂਦਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇੋਂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਸੀ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਰਸੂਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”
23 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਚੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮਥਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

1 கர்த்தரின் கிருபைகளை என்றென்றைக்கும் பாடுவேன்; உமது உண்மையைத் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என் வாயினால் அறிவிப்பேன்.
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 கிருபை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; உமது உண்மையை வானங்களிலே ஸ்தாபிப்பீர் என்றேன்.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 என்னால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவனோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி என்தாசனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி:
I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4 என்றென்றைக்கும் உன் சந்ததியை நிலைப்படுத்தி, தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என் சிங்காசனத்தை ஸ்தாபிப்பேன் என்று ஆணையிட்டேன் என்றார். (சேலா.)
Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5 கர்த்தாவே, வானங்கள் உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களைத் துதிக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சபையிலே உம்முடைய உண்மையும் விளங்கும்.
And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 ஆகாயமண்டலத்தில் கர்த்தருக்கு நிகரானவர் யார்? பலவான்களின் புத்திரரில் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்பானவர் யார்?
For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 தேவன் பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய ஆலோசனைச் சபையில் மிகவும் பயப்படத்தக்கவர், தம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிற அனைவராலும் அஞ்சப்படத்தக்கவர்.
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப்போல் வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் யார்? உம்முடைய உண்மை உம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறது.
O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 தேவரீர், சமுத்திரத்தின் பெருமையை ஆளுகிறவர்; அதின் அலைகள் எழும்பும்போது அவைகளை அடங்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 நீர் ராகாபை வெட்டுண்ட ஒருவனைப்போல் ஒடுக்கினீர்; உமது வல்லமையான புயத்தினால் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களைச் சிதறடித்தீர்.
Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 வானங்கள் உம்முடையது, பூமியும் உம்முடையது, பூலோகத்தையும் அதிலுள்ள யாவையும் நீரே அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினீர்.
The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 வடக்கையும் தெற்கையும் நீர் உண்டாக்கினீர், தாபோரும் எர்மோனும் உம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கக் கெம்பீரிக்கும்.
The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 உமக்கு வல்லமையுள்ள புயமிருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய கரம் பராக்கிரமமுள்ளது; உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் உன்னதமானது.
Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 நீதியும் நியாயமும் உம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின் ஆதாரம்; கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கும்.
Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 கெம்பீரசத்தத்தை அறியும் ஜனங்கள் பாக்கியமுள்ளவர்கள்; கர்த்தாவே, அவர்கள் உம்முடைய முகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தில் நடப்பார்கள்.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 அவர்கள் உம்முடைய நாமத்தில் நாடோறும் களிகூர்ந்து, உம்முடைய நீதியால் உயர்ந்திருப்பார்கள்.
In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 நீரே அவர்கள் பலத்தின் மகிமையாயிருக்கிறீர்; உம்முடைய தயவினால் எங்கள் கொம்பு உயரும்.
For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 கர்த்தரால் எங்கள் கேடகமும் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தரால் எங்களுடைய ராஜாவும் உண்டு.
For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 அப்பொழுது நீர் உம்முடைய பக்தனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: சகாயஞ்செய்யத்தக்க சக்தியை ஒரு சவுரியவான்மேல் வைத்து, ஜனத்தில் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவனை உயர்த்தினேன்.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; என் பரிசுத்த தைலத்தினால் அவனை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன்.
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 என் கை அவனோடே உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; என் புயம் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தும்.
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 சத்துரு அவனை நெருக்குவதில்லை; நியாயக்கேட்டின் மகன் அவனை ஒடுக்குவதில்லை.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 அவன் சத்துருக்களை அவனுக்குமுன்பாக மடங்கடித்து, அவனைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை வெட்டுவேன்.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 என் உண்மையும் என் கிருபையும் அவனோடிருக்கும், என் நாமத்தினால் அவன் கொம்பு உயரும்.
But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 அவன் கையைச் சமுத்திரத்தின்மேலும், அவன் வலதுகரத்தை ஆறுகள்மேலும் ஆளும்படி வைப்பேன்.
I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 அவன் என்னை நோக்கி: நீர் என் பிதா, என் தேவன், என் இரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையென்று சொல்லுவான்.
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 நான் அவனை எனக்கு முதற்பேறானவனும், பூமியின் ராஜாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் மகா உயர்ந்தவனுமாக்குவேன்.
Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 என் கிருபையை என்றென்றைக்கும் அவனுக்காகக் காப்பேன்; என் உடன்படிக்கை, அவனுக்காக உறுதிப்படுத்தப்படும்.
My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 அவன் சந்ததி என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கவும், அவன் ராஜாசனம் வானங்களுள்ளமட்டும் நிலைநிற்கவும்செய்வேன்.
His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 அவன் பிள்ளைகள் என் நியாயங்களின்படி நடவாமல் என் வேதத்தை விட்டு விலகி;
If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல் என் நியமங்களை மீறிநடந்தால்;
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 அவர்கள் மீறுதலை மிலாற்றினாலும், அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை வாதைகளினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 ஆனாலும் என் கிருபையை அவனைவிட்டு விலக்காமலும், என் உண்மையில் பிசகாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறாமலும், என் உதடுகள் விளம்பினதை மாற்றாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 ஒருவிசை என் பரிசுத்தத்தின்பேரில் ஆணையிட்டேன், தாவீதுக்கு நான் பொய்சொல்லேன்.
Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 அவன் சந்ததி என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்; அவன் சிங்காசனம் சூரியனைப்போல எனக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிற்கும்.
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 சந்திரனைப்போல அது என்றென்றைக்கும் உறுதியாயும், ஆகாயமண்டலத்துச் சாட்சியைப்போல் உண்மையாயும் இருக்கும் என்று விளம்பினீர். (சேலா.)
It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 ஆனாலும் நீர் எங்களை வெறுத்துத் தள்ளிவிட்டீர், நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணுவித்தவன்மேல் உக்கிரமானீர்.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 உமது அடியானுடன் நீர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை ஒழித்துவிட்டு, அவன் கிரீடத்தைத் தரையிலேதள்ளி அவமானப்படுத்தினீர்.
Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 அவன் மதில்களையெல்லாம் தகர்த்துப்போட்டு, அவன் அரணான ஸ்தலங்களைப் பாழாக்கினீர்.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 வழிநடக்கிற யாவரும் அவனைக் கொள்ளையிடுகிறார்கள்; தன் அயலாருக்கு நிந்தையானான்.
All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 அவன் சத்துருக்களின் வலதுகையை நீர் உயர்த்தி, அவன் விரோதிகள் யாவரும் சந்தோஷிக்கும்படிசெய்தீர்.
Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 அவன் பட்டயத்தின் கருக்கை மழுக்கிப்போட்டு, அவனை யுத்தத்தில் நிற்காதபடி செய்தீர்.
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 அவன் மகிமையை அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணி, அவன் சிங்காசனத்தைத் தரையிலே தள்ளினீர்.
Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 அவன் வாலிபநாட்களைக் குறுக்கி, அவனை வெட்கத்தால் மூடினீர். (சேலா.)
The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 எதுவரைக்கும், கர்த்தாவே! நீர் என்றென்றைக்கும் மறைந்திருப்பீரோ? உமது கோபம் அக்கினியைப்போல் எரியுமோ?
How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 என் ஜீவன் எவ்வளவு நிலையற்றது என்பதை நினைத்தருளும்; மனுபுத்திரர் யாவரையும் வீணாகச் சிருஷ்டிக்க வேண்டியதென்ன?
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48 மரணத்தைக் காணாமல் உயிரோடிருப்பவன் யார்? தன் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாள வல்லடிக்கு விலக்கிவிடுகிறவன் யார்? (சேலா.)
What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
49 ஆண்டவரே, நீர் தாவீதுக்கு உம்முடைய உண்மையைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம்பண்ணின உமது பூர்வ கிருபைகள் எங்கே?
Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரையும் நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவனின் காலடிகளையும் நிந்திக்கிறபடியினால்,
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51 கர்த்தாவே, உமது அடியார் சுமக்கும் நிந்தையையும், வலுமையான ஜனங்களெல்லாராலும் நான் என் மடியில் சுமக்கும் என் நிந்தையையும் நினைத்தருளும்.
Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 கர்த்தருக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக. ஆமென், ஆமென்.
Blessed be the Lord for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
