ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਵਰਗਾ ਵਰਤਾਉ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।’

ਤਾਂ ਵੀ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਧਾੇ ਹਰ ਕਦਮ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ।

“ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਹਿਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੰਦ ਕਰੀਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਮੀਨੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

ਅੱਯੂਬ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਅਨਿਆਂਈ ਹੈ।
