Jeremiah 50:13
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਓੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਬਾਬਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਹੁਣ ਇੰਨਾ ਹਂਕਾਰਿਆ, ਖੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿੰਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਥਾਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਲੰਘਣਗੇ ਸੀਟੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੇ-ਯਕੀਨੀ ਭੈ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ। ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
Habakkuk 2:6
ਪਰ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਸੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਖੌਲ ਉਡਾਉਣਗੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਿੱਸੇ ਸੁਨਾਉਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਹੱਸਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਹਾਏ! ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ! ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਧਨਾਢ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।’

ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਤੇ ਸੀਟੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਨੇ, “ਕੀ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅੱਤ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ” ਅਤੇ “ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ?”
Jeremiah 51:37
ਬਾਬਲ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਬਾਬਲ ਅਵਾਰਾ ਕੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਲੋਕ ਮਲਬੇ ਦੇ ਢੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਣਗੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣਗੇ। ਬਾਬਲ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
Jeremiah 25:12
“ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ 70 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ-“ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Jeremiah 19:8
ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਲੋਕੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀਟੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
