Jeremiah 32:34
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਣਾਏ ਨੇ-ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ‘ਪਲੀਤ’ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।”

“ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਵੀ ਮੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ, ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੀ।

ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਥੰਮ ਵੀ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਦਰੋਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਧ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਸੀ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਤੀਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ।”

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਕ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
Ezekiel 8:5
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ!” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਦਾਖਲੇ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
