Isaiah 34:11
ਪਂਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਉੱਲੂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਚਰ ਓੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ “ਸੱਖਣਾ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ” ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Lamentations 2:8
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਢਾਹੁਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਢਾਹੁਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਵੱਧਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੁਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋਈਆ ਸਨ।

ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ: “ਉਹ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਬੇਬੀਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਗਰੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਘ੍ਰਿਣਾਯੋਗ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Isaiah 14:23
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਲਦਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ‘ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਝਾੜੂ’ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਝਾੜੂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਚੱਕੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੜ੍ਹ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੀ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ। “ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ, ਬੇਬੀਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਂਨਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਥੱਲੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Malachi 1:3

Isaiah 24:10
“ਪੂਰਨ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਤਫ਼ਰੀ” ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਢੁਕਵਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੜ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੋਕਾਂ ਲੱਗ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Isaiah 13:20
ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਓੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਅਰਬ ਲੋਕ ਓੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਉਣਗੇ। ਆਜੜੀ ਓੱਥੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਚਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
2 Samuel 8:2
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਲੰਮੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੱਗ ਅਲੱਗ ਪੰਗਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਪੰਗਤਾਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਪੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇੰਝ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਲਿਆਏ।
