ਹਾਜਰਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਭੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਪਿਆ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਟੋਭਾ ਸੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ।

ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ!” ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ ਜੀ।”
