Exodus 27:1
ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ “ਸ਼ਿੱਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਉ। ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਚੌਰਸ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜ ਕਿਊਬਿਟ ਲੰਮੀ, ਪੰਜ ਕਿਊਬਿਟ ਚੌੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਕਿਊਬਿਟ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

Exodus 20:24
“ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਖਾਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਓ। ਇਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰੋ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੋ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹਰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਕਰੋ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਤਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਲਿਖ ਲਏ। ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ, ਮੂਸਾ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਤਰਾਈ ਨੇੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਧਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਥਰ।
Exodus 40:10
ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਛਿੜਕੀਂ। ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਛਿੜਕੀਂ। ਤੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
Exodus 40:29
ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਅਰਪਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਗਾਦ ਦਾਉਦ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਯਬੂਸੀ ਅਰਵਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰ।”
2 Chronicles 4:1
ਮੰਦਰ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਨ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 20 ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਚੌੜਾਈ ਵੀ 20 ਹੱਥ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਚਾਈ 10 ਹੱਥ ਸੀ।
Ezekiel 43:13
ਜਗਵੇਦੀ “ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਪੈਮਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦਾ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਪ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ। ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਗੰਦੀ ਨਾਲੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਓ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਚੌੜੀ ਸੀ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਂਗਰੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇੱਕ ਗਿਠ੍ਠ ਉੱਚੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਇੰਨੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਸੀ:
Hebrews 13:10
ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਬਲੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਖਾਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਇਖਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
