ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਹਰਕਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨੱਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਖੂਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੂਸਾ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ।

Genesis 29:2

ਸੀਨਈ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਿਆ।
Exodus 4:19
ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਹਾਲੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।”

ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਨਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ।
Genesis 25:4
ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਏਫ਼ਾਹ, ਏਫ਼ਰ, ਹਨੋਕ, ਅਬੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਦਾਆ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਟੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
